"Cyber-Terrorism on the rise in America."

Computer security company reports 200% increase in foreign attacks against businesses since September 11.

STAMFORD, October 11, 2001: Computronix Security Systems, Inc. (CSSI) announced today that cyber-attacks against its clientele have exceeded 150 attempts per day - - more than twice the pre-September 11 average.

"More than half of the attacks originate from overseas," stated Barry Monies, CSSI's President & CEO, "this is clearly an indication of the escalating animosity toward anything American. They're trying to hurt us where we do business."

On October 1, 2001, in addition to standing alerts, the FBI issued lists of most-likely terrorist exploits in corporate computer systems. The list includes the following warning: "If you have ever used an installation program to install system or service software (as nearly every company has), and you have not removed unnecessary services and installed all security patches, then your computer system is vulnerable to hacker attack."

Formerly a division of five-year-old Stamford-based Computronix, LLC. (CPX), the new company is seeing substantial growth as awareness of cybercrime increases. "People now realize that there's a danger," Monies explained, "Information security flaws lead to physical danger. If a cyber-terrorist wants to know your whereabouts, all he needs to do is read your company calendar."
